Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965), is an American actress from the United States. Her starring role on the crime drama TNT The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. As a result of her portrayal as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. The show ended after its seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her role as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick won the Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who worked as Speech and Family Therapist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV, a venture capitalist. She was born in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian of English descent. Sedgwick declares that she is Jewish and has stated that she attends Passover seders.
