Kamala Harris

 Kamala Devi Harris (born October 20th 1964) was an American politician, attorney and vice president of United States. She is the first female vice-president as well as the highest-ranking female official in the United American. She is a member and former US senator representing California. Harris was born in Oakland, California. She graduated from Howard University as well as the University of California Hastings College of the Law. After establishing her career as an Alameda County District Attorney Harris was enlisted to the San Francisco District Attorney's Office. Then she was appointed the City Attorney of San Francisco. In 2003, she was elected district attorney for San Francisco. In 2010 she was appointed Attorney General of California and then re-elected in 2014. Harris was the United States junior senator from California from 2017 until 2021. Harris beat Loretta Sanchez in the 2016 Senate election, becoming the 2nd African American woman and the first South Asian American to serve in the United States Senate. She was a senator and campaigned for reforms to healthcare as well as federal cannabis de-scheduling a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrant immigrants, the DREAM Act, a ban against assault weapons and progressive tax reform. Her most well-known accomplishments are her sharp questions to Trump administration officials during Senate hearings.
